22LRs are the most common caliber used in this event. However, .17HMR and .22 Magnums are also welcome.
This event is shot in six (6) discrete stages, with the complete CoF taking less than an hour to complete.
Match is open to the public.

50 yards with a sighting or practice series
Fire ten shots for record slow-fire in the prone position, followed by two five-shot rapid-fire series.
Fire ten shots slow fire and two five-shot rapid-fire series in the sitting or kneeling position.
Targets are then placed at the 25-yard line where shooters conclude with ten shots slow fire and two five-shot rapid-fire series in the standing position.
At Sanners we are running our COFs at 50 yards due to time constraints in setting up the 25 yard line.

This means that the individual applying for the permit must provide substantiation of Good and Substantial reason(s) to wear and/or carry a firearm. Successful completion of the prerequisite training DOES NOT guarantee a positive determination by the Maryland State Police and/or the Handgun Permit Review Board (HPRB) on your Wear & Carry Permit application.
Wear and Carry Permits MAY be issued to any adult citizen of Maryland who meet the following criteria:
