This course combines BOTH the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course (Phase II) and the Maryland HQL Handgun Training.

Note: Prerequisite for the NRA Phase II Class is completion of NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting, Phase I, computer-based training available via https://basicpistol.nra.org/ . Cost for the Phase I class is $60 payable directly to the NRA. Once that the Phase I computer-based-training has been completed, register for this Phase II class via https://goo.gl/daGryf

If you do not wish to receive the credit and course-certificate for the NRA Basic Pistol Class, but merely want the MD HQL Training, then there are no prerequisites and sign-ups for the class are via this SannersLake.org website.

Class will run from 8 AM until ~5:00 PM. Course includes training materials, safety equipment (eye and ear protection), targets, ammunition, range-time and firearms rental, and support of certified firearms instructor(s). This event also includes a separate course-module that provides an overview of MD State Firearms Laws, thereby meeting the training requirements for the Handgun Qualification License (HQL). HQL Training Certificates will be issued to all qualified participants.

Event will be held rain or shine.

Space is limited so do not dawdle about signing-up.

Fees for the Phase II Class and/or MD HQL Course are payable at the event. Fee is $50 ($30 for SLSC-members and family and NRA or MSI Members) payable via check or cash. Minimum age is 21 (~18 if a parent or guardian is also a participant). $10 additional discount is offered if you bring your own SAFE firearm and factory-new ammo to use in the shooting portion of the class. 50 rounds are minimum required, but 100 is recommended.

LIVESCAN fingerprinting may be made available at this event at cost of approximately $70 with $5 discount if the application form is completed at least 3 days prior to the class. Fee is payable directly to SafeHireSolutions, our LIVESCAN provider.
