CANCELLED - NRA Basic Pistol Instructor Course

This class is to teach students to become NRA Pistol Instructors.  

Instructor candidates must attend all days of the course in order to receive course credit. Candidates must complete the Basics of Pistol Shooting Instructor Course, as well as the pre-course questionnaire and pre-course qualification.

Course consists of two elements:

·        Basic Instructor Training (BIT) - day 1.   

·        Pistol Instructor - day 1 afternoon and full day 2.

Members Cost: $275

Non-members Cost: $325

·        Scholarships MAY be made available to candidates who will teach on a not-for-profit basis and in support of the SLSC training program.  Contact Training Counselor for details.

Pre-Qualification: Pre-Course Questionnaire, and Pre-Course Gun-Handling Assessment, Shooting-Safety Test, and Hot-Range Skills Qualification.  

Hot-range pre-qual will be offered the day before class, using instructor-candidates' own firearms and ammunition.  Other dates/times can be coordinated with the TC.
