This match is not an officially sanctioned USRA-IR50/50 match
but is similar in rules and requirements. IR 50/50 is a bench rest match
shot with scoped .22LR rifles at either 50 meters or 50 yards. At Sanners
our matches are shot at 50 yards. The 25 targets on each score sheet are
shot within 30 minutes. One shot per target square is allowed. Sighting
shots are taken as needed. Three relays (one target sheet each) are shot per
match for a total of 75 shots for record. We break down our classes into
Sporter, 10.5lb, and 13.5lb – see below.

Sanner’s Lake IR5050-style Rimfire Benchrest Match Report
6 June 2021
The humidity climbed as rapidly as the sun making for a muggy afternoon but a decent turnout of six undaunted competitors wiped the sweat off their collective brows and put down some serious scores at the June IR5050-style match at Sanner’s Lake. Greg Banta showed off his new Vudoo V-22S and convincingly demonstrated that the wait was worth it as he took the top spots in both the individual and combined categories while setting a new Sanners three-string record of 742-33X combined! Consistency is the name of the game when it comes to combined scores and the Vudoo sitting on Greg’s slick new one piece rest will be a force to be reckoned with at future matches. A few personal bests were notched as well, with Dave Harrell coming back after a bit of a layoff with his 10/22 and scoring a superb 230-6X on his last string, while Joe Cox in his first match saw his scores continue to increase as he dialed up the Zen and approached benchrest nirvana with an excellent 225-4X on his last string.
Next match is on 1 August, come on out and see if you can set some records of your own!
