Galactic Pistol Alliance (GPA) is a dynamic shooting sport based roughly on shooting defensively and is new to SLSC this year!

GPA is similar in concept to IDPA and other dynamic shooting sports but there are some major differences, a few of which are highlighted below:

Every stage may have up to 24 required shots.

You can load your mags to capacity and carry as many as you want.

Every stage requires one mandatory reload after the first shot and before the last. You decide when and where to do it. Ammo management is your responsibility!

Targets may be required to be shot while moving

No tactical priority while shooting in the open

Drop a loaded mag with no penalty

Unlimited steel targets

Unlimited non-threats

Scoring is Raw Time + PE’s + Target Points Down (1/2 second scoring)

With some exceptions, the equipment you are using in another pistol sport is probably legal in GPA.

All matches are open to the public. Setup starts at 8am and the match starts when setup is complete or 9am, whichever is later. Please arrive by 8am to register and assist with set up.

A $5 match fee will be collected from everyone to cover consumables.

Reminder:  in the waistband appendix carry holsters are not permitted at SLSC.
